On February 11 2020, at the conference hall of the Committee for Environmental Protection (CEP) under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan was held a workshop “Farmers' Access to the Products of the Central Asian Climate Information Platform (CACIP), with the participation of representatives of government bodies, academia, civil societies and experts from international organizations. This is one of the subsequent meetings taking place in Tajikistan as part of the development of the platform.
A total of 27 participants from 21 organizations, including government agencies, international and regional organizations, academia and national agricultural extension services discussed the goals and objectives of the future platform, content and data sources, as well as issues of its usage and maintenance.
The joint workshop was held on 27th of September 2019 in Dushanbe (Tajikistan) to conduct the regional consultation for Central Asian Climate Information Platform (CACIP) as well as to launch the study on assessment of Costs of Environmental Degradation (CoED) in Tajikistan. The event was jointly hosted by the Tajik Academy of Agricultural Sciences (TAAS) and the State Committee on Environmental Protection (CEP) of Tajikistan.
